Tortuga Beach Bar Watamu
Tortuga Bar is a colourful, easygoing bar and restaurant set on Garoda road opposite Kobe resort and Garoda beach. One of the most beautiful stretches of sand in Watamu. It is a fun sociable spot for a daytime drink or a sundowner and great seafood. If you're after a relaxed, unpretentious place to pause after the beach, this is that kind of address! It's also a wonderful place to people watch and enjoy watching the local Watamu scene/culture - people passing on the roads, and little roadside shops nearby.
The Vibe
The draw here is atmosphere over formality. It reads as a spot to sink into a chair, order a round and watch the day drift by, rather than a sit-down fine-dining room. Expect a lively, informal crowd, especially as the afternoon turns to evening.
